I’m too rural for drifting to be a thing and I have no schedule so if I sign up for the closest days, I lose money and probably won’t make it. I have been able to see 1 drift event, 5 hours away. It’s a tribute to a friend that passed. After a few years of people picking it over, I finally got my hands on it. no engine, so I decided to do what he wanted to, the rb. I’ll use it as a fun car, maybe drag race it occasionally. I fully intend to embarrass all the big diesel guys with 1000 ft lbs in the area.
Full story, 2 years ago i had blown up my pickup the first time. This meant no road rally. So we imported the rb with a month left. Installed in in my buddies rhd 240. My money, my engine, his car (days of Thunder style). He can buy it from me later was the deal. We blew 2 factory turbos, got tomei’s, tested, found a rod knock. No time left. Took a prelude, blew it up in memphis. Bought a new frs to complete the rally. A short time later, his roommate who had bought and picked over my buddies car gave it to my copilot for rent. My copilot shows up at my house with the title and said it’s yours. It’s just a shell. It got put off as I rebuilt and spent money to get my pickup ready. Pickup is out of state being rebuilt after the august 2014 blowup. I can concentrate on the 240 and mustang this summer. 240 needs more work than the stang.
